Saint John Lutheran Church
Our History
St.
John Lutheran Church began worshiping as a Christian family in 1942.
In 1957 we built our present church and parsonage on 4 1/2 acres of land
that was then the west edge of the village.
Our
congregation is affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod which
has a membership of over
2,600,000 with more than 6000 organized congregations. Our Synod
is dedicated to Christian education operating many colleges and 2 seminaries.
It is also very mission minded supporting the work of the Lord's Church
throughout the world.
Our congregation is a family of ordinary people who have discovered the joy
of Christian living. Through worship, education, and fellowship our congregation seeks to provide guidance and direction for walking with God.
We think you will find us to be a friendly church with a beautiful message
to share. Presently we serve about 150 families. We would
like very much the opportunity to extend that service to your family. We invite you to consider joining our fellowship in Christ our Risen and
Victorious Lord.
